2015-05-22 13.05.05Having been on a spiritual path for many years, the one thing I realise is that the more I learn, the less I know. Spirituality is a life long commitment, a journey into yourself that you commit to being on each and every day.

There is a quote from Deepak Chopra which states that:

“Religion is belief in someone else’s experience. Spirituality is having your own experience”

Spirituality is free, open and fluid. People find their spiritual paths in so many different ways using many different teachers, guides and tools. The wonderful thing about spirituality is that there is no set path, there are no rules, you decide what fits you and feels good for you and it is all a wonderful exploratory adventure.

It seems one of the biggest challenges can be that we often lose people along the way on this journey and it is hurtful and hard to understand.

Surely we begin following a spiritual path and we become better people, don’t we? Nicer people to be around? Kinder? More compassionate and understanding? More enlightened? More tolerant?
