Happiness isn’t for the fainthearted

Happiness isn’t for the fainthearted

I’ve spoken many times about how happiness must not be seen as the reward we get for achieving something; money, status, family, awards … whatever you desire will never bring you the gift of happiness with it. Happiness is something we have to choose, just like we chose what clothes to wear and what food to eat, we can also choose what mood we want to be in.

Mind over Cancer

Mind over Cancer

I am honoured to offer you yet another guest blog this week. Wendy is one of the most positive people I have ever met and embraces life with both hands. Few people would ever guess that she has been on an incredibly tough journey fighting breast cancer.

Cancer is a disease which strikes fear in all our hearts and most of us, if not affected directly buy it, have been affected indirectly by it. Wendy is a wonderful example of how a combination of excellent medical intervention, positive thinking and holistic therapies can have a very positive impact upon beating the disease. How we speak to ourselves is a crucial aspect in our ability to be happy and succeed in life, it is really very difficult to be happy in our day to day lives if our internal dialogue is constantly criticising us or pointing out everything that is a wrong. A powerful way to reprogram how we think is by using regular affirmations.

An affirmation is a positive statement which you can say to yourself repeatedly to start to bring more positive aspects into your life.

When creating an affirmation there are a couple of rules:
