Surrounded By Stars

Surrounded By Stars

Any of you who have got to know me will know I have a slight obsessions with the moon and the stars. I can regularly be found gazing slack jawed at a bejewelled sky! In fact my obsession with the night sky has been with me from as young as I can remember, you can read about my lunar lunacy here, but as well as that, I also named my daughter Seren which is Welsh for star.

Survive or Thrive?

Survive or Thrive?

It is my view that in order to become a successful therapist who is able to help people make radical changes, you need to have experienced pain yourself. I am certainly no exception to this rule.

Inevitably, this means we sometimes make choices which do not end well.

Despite this happening to each and every one of us at some point in our lives, some people carry so much pain, hurt or anger for those who have done them wrong that an event that may have happened long ago in their past, is still greatly impacting their present.

What is Reiki?

What is Reiki?

What is Reiki?

Before I had my first ever Reiki treatment, I had absolutely no idea what it was. My vague knowledge of it was that it was a bit mystical or ‘woo woo’ and was about laying on hands. I was sceptical and so never pursued having a treatment.

It’s strange, but as time went by ‘Reiki’ was something that popped up into conversations, with new people I met, on blogs or in articles, so I eventually booked a treatment.

My expectations were virtually zero and I attended the appointment more out of intrigue than considering any physical or emotional need I may have had for the treatment.

What I certainly did not expect was that one Reiki treatment would not only set me on a path of emotional healing, but it also helped me see things in my life with clarity I had never witnessed before. Within weeks, I began training to become a Reiki practitioner and eventually set up Beam Holistic Therapy offering Reiki and other holistic therapy treatments alongside.
