Tiny ChangesI received a beautiful guest blog this week from someone who has made some really huge changes in here life. When I met Rachel about six months ago, she was very quiet and unsure of herself, she attended my Discover Your Bounce course and kept fairly quiet during the course, however she would email me outside of the course and tell me the huge changes she was making with incredible positive results. The PowerHaving worked with countless people who feel stressed, depressed, trapped and / or lost there seems to be a very common thread that joins them, they have given their power away. When we feel powerless, we are in a victim mentality, we let life happen to us and let people take advantage of us.

Our power can be given away so very subtly that we may often not even be aware that we have lost it, it may be taken away in the form of feeling trapped in a job, having a controlling partner, being submissive within our family, letting others dictate who we are and what we feel, eventually leaving us with very little left for ourselves.

The Power of Affirmations

Damn Im GoodWe all have an internal voice that chatters away to us all day long and if we are honest, a lot of the time, this voice can be really mean and unforgiving. In fact, if this voice were a friend, we would probably have ended the friendship years ago.

How we speak to ourselves is a crucial aspect in our ability to be happy and succeed in life, it is really very difficult to be happy in our day to day lives if our internal dialogue is constantly criticising us or pointing out everything that is a wrong. A powerful way to reprogram how we think is by using regular affirmations.

An affirmation is a positive statement which you can say to yourself repeatedly to start to bring more positive aspects into your life.
